Warmachine: Update from the front

The recent months have been very 40K orientated with my Minotaurs taking centre stage, however the arrival of the Warmachine 'Wrath' hardback and Kommander Harkevich has sparked a reboot of interest in my Khador collection.

I have worked out a new 35 point list incorporating the Iron Wolf and am happy with the selection (and the fact it's not another Butcher list) and will be writing and posting wip's in the upcoming months as I build up the new force.

Until then, check out Warmachine and the new expansion 'Wrath' at: Wayland Games - Discount Wargames

vend send mend!

Hey!  It's been a while!  Life has been busy, but hopefully I will start updating again more often!   This is my submission to an awesome tsunami relief art auction called Vend Send Mend.  http://www.vendsendmend.com/

It is crow quill and watercolors, and it was really fun to do something in traditional media for a change!

Forge World: Space Marine Heavy Weapons set

The retro theme continues as Forge World releases the Space Marine Heavy Weapon set. The designs are throw backs to the Rogue Trader design as to be expected, and come with supporting arms and back packs to give that authentic old school finish.

The weapons listed are: Plasma Cannon, Lascannon, Heavy Bolter and Multimelta, so everything you need to add heavy arms to your Pre-Heresy armour/variant armies. The set comes in at a surprising £10.20 price tag and a 27th June release date.

I know my Minotaurs will be happy about this release.

Badab War: Armour havoc

As a added bonus to ending a hard week's work, my GW order was ready for collection. I now have sitting in front of me all the components needed to finish the first 1500pts of Minotaur Space Marines, all that remains now is to build and paint. Scary thing is, I have not even touched this lot and I am already plotting more purchases!

The photo shows pretty clearly what I have gone for: Predators, Rhinos and Drop pods. Nothing ground breaking or original really, but at least it fits the ethos of the Minotaurs having a strong Predator presence. The Scouts are there to give me a third troops choice and the obligatory Telion clone will be added to the unit naturally. I just now managed to win a Sevrin Loth figure and once that arrives, the army will truly be complete. I am currently weighing up the idea of grabbing a airbrush to do the armour units quickly but even if I do, it will still be some three weeks until all this is built as I am fully booked for work.

It is however very satisfying to have a 'full' army in the works as it has been some time since I have had a Warhammer 40,000 army at all (World Eaters of Khorne 3rd Ed?) and the prospect of gaming with fully painted miniatures is a great feeling.

All that remains now, is turn these boxes into painted boxes!
